Private University Asset Growth Corporate Contribution “Low”

Recently, Democratic Party Rep. Yoon Young-deok argued that "after the university
closes, the remnants of the founder or operator should be carefully judged.
ÇзÉÀα¸ °¨¼Ò·Î ´ëÇеéÀÇ Æó±³°¡ Çö½ÇȵǴ ½ÃÁ¡ÀÌ¾î¼ ÁÖ¸ñµÈ´Ù.
It is noteworthy as it is the time when colleges and universities are closed due to
a decrease in the school age population.

Rep. Yoon's argument is the result of an analysis of the Ministry of Education's
“Private University Financial Statement”.
ÀÚ»êÁõ°¡¾×ÀÇ ¹ýÀα⿩°¡ 50% ÀÌ»óÀÎ ´ëÇÐÀº 10%´ë¿¡ ºÒ°úÇÏ´Ù.
Only 10% of universities have a corporate contribution of more than 50% of their
asset growth.

He said, "It is a measure to undermine the non-profit of the school corporation to
attribute the residual assets to the founder after the university closes."

Article 80 of the Civil Code stipulates the attribution of residual property of a corporation.

person designated by the articles of incorporation."
