One Korea-based world wide tourism company, named 'Sejoong Tour', has been spotlighted because of its CEO's honorable culture promotion.

The CEO, Mr.Cheun Shin-il constructed the museum seven years ago, where filled with more 10,000 antique styled stone-made cultural properties, called 'The Old Stone Museum' nearby Yong-In city, approximately 50 km away from Seoul.

In Korea this was the first as well as, until now the last museum that specializing in disply of various old cultural items made of stone.
In addition, several years ago, his almamaterism made him make a large donation for museum of Korea University.

And recently he sponsored and cooperated with the National Folk Museum of Korea for advanced interpretation system for foreigners, joining with the culture-based international program.

So our curiosity about this special museum was peaked, and decided to have an interview with the CEO, a pioneer of Mecenat activity in Korea.

The CEO of Sejoong Tour Mr.Mr.Cheun Shin-il
Q1) What's the background of your weighing an offer to set up the museum ?
A1) Actually I've been interested in antiques and old paintings. But in 1978, one day, I dropped in one antique shop, where I found a Japanese negotiating the price for Korean cultural properties to buy them back to Japan.
At that time I bought 27 old stone items all together in front of that Japanese.

Because Korean cultural items should not be moved into Japan, whatever its reason is. So that's why I could, aside from my own business, propel culture promotion with my freewill-contribution based.

Q2) Any special reason for focusing on 'old stone items' in the museum ?
A2) Regarding Korean stone-made antiques, their shapes used to change differently every moment, which means that they show up the Kaleidoscope of form and color.
Especially I dare say, all stone antiques are the most beautiful after it's raining.

Q3) Could you tell us about Sejoong Tour's new vision ?
A3) Our goal is to become a real global leader, offering as much as comfortable service for customers.
In order to be a top leader, we have to create the most valuable experience through tourism business.
Concretely speaking about our plan for the new vision, we have three key solutions.
Firstly the strengthening our brand's power, secondly the reinforcement of marketing including off-line's area, and lastly the increased network of our sales agent across the world.

Q4) What's your philosophy on management ?
A4) I think, a CEO has a responsibility for society by giving something back to community, aside from his own missionary for company's all family by earning high profits.
The word 'Sharing' may have the most beautiful meaning, especially to all CEO, including me. Because the 'share'-based life is more valuable than the 'possess'-based, just as Buddha Sakyamuni said ' the rise and the fall is not two, but one, crossing each other'.
Besides considering that the CEO's articles of faith are important when manage company, My principle consists of five significant Chinese characters.
They are 'Knowledge'(ò±), ‘Practice'(ú¼), 'Use'(éÄ), 'Training'(ýº), and ’Reflection'(øÄ).

Q5) As you know, Korea's In-bound tour business has faced difficult problems.
Can you inform us key solution of your own ?
A5) Any support for exchange of culture with different countries, including Korean wave's star marketing, would be firstly necessary.
Besides we may need the
harmonized balanced between the In and Out-bound by creating the new attractive landmark like 'Exhibition Tour'.
And How about offering the culture-based space only for all foreigners in Korea ?
